2024 Recital: May 10 & 11
**Have you received your Concert Handbook? Detailed dates, times, and rehearsals details were sent out in March!
HOW DO I PURCHASE TICKETS?
You can purchase tickets through the link sent to your email. Tickets will also be available at the door of each show. In order to purchase advanced tickets, CSD accounts must have a zero balance through the end of the year.
WHEN DOES MY DANCER NEED TO ARRIVE ON SHOW DAY?
Dancer’s in the Friday and Saturday night show need to arrive at the auditorium 1 hour prior to show time! Our matinee shows need to arrive 30 minutes prior to their show time.
MY DANCER IS IN THE TINY TOES CLASS, DOES SHE STAY IN THE BACK?
No, our Tiny Toes dancers sit on the laps of their parent/guardian during the performance. Prior to their dance, a parent will escort their child to the side of the auditorium where a CSD Parent will help load all the children into the wagons to be pulled on stage. Tiny Toes dancers do not need a ticket.
MY DANCER’S COSTUME DOESN’T FIT…
Costume measuring begins during registration. Alterations are sometimes needed after costumes have been distributed and are the sole responsibility of the student’s parent or guardian. If you need a recommendation for a seamstress, we’re happy to give you a recommendation.
WHAT TIGHTS DO I NEED?
Ballet classes will need footed classical pink tights. Tap and Jazz classes need footed nude tights. Tights are available for purchase at CSD. We recommend having a second pair of tights on hand.
DOES MY CHILD NEED TO WEAR MAKEUP? WHAT ABOUT HAIR?
All female students are required to wear makeup for recital- red lipstick, blush, earth-toned eye shadow, and mascara (or false eyelashes). Female students also need to have their hair in a low, tight bun with a center part. No bangs are allowed. Male students are encouraged to wear a little blush.
CAN I TAKE PICTURES OR RECORD DURING CONCERT?
No. Photography is permitted during Dress Rehearsals. Photo’s and Videography will be provided through a third party. Forms are available at the CSD office, in the concert program, and in the lobby at PR Leyva.
WHAT DO I PACK FOR MY DANCER FOR THE PERFORMANCE?
Make sure you pack your child’s costumes, accessories, tights, extra tights, proper shoes, extra hairspray, gel, bobby pins, hair nets, safety pins, first aid kid, and any sort of entertainment for down time (please leave all electronics at home!!). Make sure you properly label your child’s things with their name. We encourage healthy, clean snacks and water!
HOW DO I PURCHASE FLOWERS FOR MY DANCER?
CSD has partnered with a local floral store to have flower bouquets conveniently in the lobby of the auditorium. We hope this will help alleviate some of the stress of recital day!
HOW DO I VOLUNTEER TO HELP?
It takes many helping hands to make a great show! If you are able to volunteer in any capacity (class mom, sell programs, etc.), please sign up through the Volunteer link that was sent out to CSD! We love our volunteers!
